One Earth® was released in the spring of 2018 and has been a hit with tea and coffee companies to offer the world’s most environmentally friendly tea bag. The material is compostable and biodegradable in 14 to 21 days. One Earth® is sourced from sugar cane, non-gmo, organic, allergy and gluten free and incredibly environmentally friendly.
During the summer months of 2018, One Earth® heard from many customers inquiring about a string for the teabag. One Earth® set out to create a string for their tea bag material. One Earth’s inventor and President, Stephen Foss, stated “the One Earth® string is made of the exact material of our One Earth teabag. The string is non-gmo, biodegradable and compostable in 14 t0 21 days!” It is very important for One Earth® to continue to offer environmentally products for their customers. Foss went on to state “we are pleased to present this string to our customers and those that are interested in an environmentally friendly string for their teabag.”

The popular tea bag material, One Earth®, is used by many tea and coffee companies but also has been known to be used for things other than tea and coffee. One Earth® which is biodegradable and compostable in 14 to 21 days, sourced from sugar cane and non-gmo has been used by non-food companies for their material. While tea uses 24gsm, One Earth® comes in a very strong 33gsm and 40gsm weight for “dusty” products. Erin Heryford, Managing Director for One Earth®, stated “Our One Earth® material has been used for bath salts, spices, and deodorizers. The material is wonderful for many things – not just coffee and tea! We really enjoy hearing from people that are thinking outside of the box and whom have interest in our material for their product.”
The One Earth® material, which is one of the most environmentally friendly products available, is great to be used for products that are dusty and need to be filtered.
